The Class of 2025 of Gureghian Scholars is preparing for College. Twenty-one high school seniors from the Delaware Valley, recipients of Gureghian Charitable Foundation Scholarships for the past four years, will be headed to the following colleges this fall:

Alvernia University, The University of Delaware, Drexel University, Delaware State University, Delaware County Community College, Gwynedd Mercy University, King’s College, Lincoln University, Neumann University, Penn State University, Thomas Jefferson University, West Chester University, and Widener University.

All of these students graduated from Chester Community Charter School (CCCS) in 2021. With the help of Gureghian Charitable Foundation Scholarships, these 21 exceptional CCCS graduates went on to prestigious high schools including Archmere Academy, Cardinal O’Hara High School, Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Pendergast High School, and Padua Academy.

Founded by Vahan and Danielle Gureghian, the Gureghian Charitable Foundation has helped send more than 300 qualified students to some of the region’s most academically rigorous and prestigious high schools. Currently, the Foundation has strong working relationships with many private and parochial schools in the Mid-Atlantic.

Gureghian Scholars have gone on to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in scientific research, business, law and many other fields of study. GCF Scholars have attended premier education institutions and built careers of service and success. For more than 20 years, Gureghian Scholars have been breaking through glass ceilings and proving that every child has immense potential when given the tools to cultivate it from within. These Scholars demonstrate the empowerment that young people can harness when someone believes in them because, for hundreds of students, the GCF has been a strong source of that belief.

The Gureghian Charitable Foundation is built on the strong belief that all students can succeed if given the right tools and support. This is a core tenet of the Gureghians’ beliefs. The GCF was founded to support financially disadvantaged students and level the playing field for them to compete and succeed in a rapidly changing world. By narrowing the educational divide between privileged and underprivileged students, the GCF has helped widen educational opportunities for students in and around Chester, Pennsylvania. Through the Foundation, the Gureghians provide graduating eighth-grade students with opportunities to attend top-performing high schools in the Greater Philadelphia region.
